Free photos with Santa at 131 Merrimack Street, Greater Lowell Chamber of Commerce Office, Thursday December 3 from 4:30 PM - 6:30 PM and Saturday December 5 from 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM at Barnes and Noble. While you are out shopping for the holidays, stop by and meet Santa where you can have your picture taken with Santa for Free.  Sip on some complimentary hot cocoa while you wait! Pollard Memorial Library:   Lecture, Thursday December 3 from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM. The Coconut Grove Fire, November 28, 1942, which killed nearly 500 people, led to major changes in fire and safety codes and manslaughter law as well as innovations in burn treatments and post-traumatic shock therapy. Join Stephanie Schorow as she discusses the impact of this fire and the 1872 Great Fire of Boston and their lingering mysteries. QUILT OF PERSONALITY:  Community Teamwork Inc., The Artship Enterprise, and students from The Robinson School team up to create a collection of fresh, unique and hand sewn quilts made from old t-shirts, jeans and fabric remnants.  Each quilt is inspired by the artist's own personality and viewpoint.
