Congratulations to the Artists selected by Juror Nick Capasso, Senior Curator,
deCordova Sculpture Park+ Museum, to exhibit in  "MATERIAL IS LANGUAGE,"
119 Gallery's 5th Annual Juried Exhibit, on view through December 19th.

Thanks to everyone who submitted. The response to Material is Language was phenomenal, with twice as many artists submitting as last year.  This is our largest exhibit ever, with 32 artists and over 40 pieces!

The juror's selection of "Best in Show" is to be announced at the reception!

Kit Demos has been performing and recording with free jazz/free improv guitarist Jeff Platz in the northeast USA and Europe. Outside of performing, he currently teaches high school chemistry and physics in Parsonfield ME.

Sten Ove Toft is from Oslo and is one of the main actors on the norwegian improv/noise scene, he runs Roggbif Records (Daniel Menche, Birchville Cat Motel, Monolithic, Lasse Marhaug, etc) and he has played with people like Junko from Hijokaidan. He just played at NoFun Fest Sweden. Jon Eriksen has mostly been active in Norway and the rest of Scandinavia before relocating to New Haven last year.
