So You Think You Can Sing, an American Idol-like competition, is being held at the Dubliner September 7th - November 16th. Calling all restaurants, chefs, cooks and foodies! Submit your favorite recipe for consideration in "Lowell Cooks!", the City's new community cookbook set for release in the Spring of 2012. Submission Deadline: Monday, October 10th.
Action-art fans will be delighted to learn that Action Evolution, a new installment in David Leblanc's "Action Abstraction" series, will be on view at the Loading Dock Gallery from August 31st to September 25th. The series captures the excitement and energy of the covers of classic Superman adventures in Action Comics publications, but is more than just an homage to a unique American art form.
