John Wargo, professor of environmental policy at Yale, will discuss his new book Green Intelligence: Creating Environments That Protect Human Health.
 
This event is co-hosted by LP&CT and the Toxics Use Reduction Institute at UMass Lowell (TURI). Green Intelligence: Creating Environments That Protect Human Health will be available for purchase. This is a featured event of the Concord Festival of Authors.

City-wide Parks Beautification Day
claypitAmazing job everyone!  Congratulations on completing LP&CT's 2nd Annual City-wide Parks Beautification DayOver 200 volunteers were spread out throught the city at parks and other open green spaces completing various landscaping, gardening, and fall clean-up projects.  Overall we completed well over 1,100 hours of volunteer serviceOutstanding!  

We kindly thank all site leaders and volunteers for your heroic efforts to maintain the local environment and improve the quality of life for the people of Lowell.  This is all coordinated with people throughout the nation, as a part of a greater effort known as, "Make A Difference Day."

What is Make a Difference Day?
mddMake A Difference Day is the most encompassing national day of helping others -- a celebration of neighbors helping neighbors. Everyone can participate.
