Lowell featured in 1000 Greatest Places to see in Massachusetts!

The Great Places in Massachusetts Commission released its 1000 greatest places to see in Massachusetts -- the City of Lowell had the following ten locations listed: Brush Art Gallery and Artists Studios, LeLacheur Park, Lowell Heritage State Park, Lowell National Historical Park, Lowell Riverwalk - Sampas Pavilion, The American Textile Hisotry Museum, The Jack Kerouac Commemorative, The Revolving Museum, Tsongas Industrial History Center, and Western Avenue Studios.

James B. Francis: Horticulturist, July 18, 1-2pm

Mr. Francis will always be credited for his masterful management of Lowell's canal system. But, did you know he was also an avid horticulturist? Come take a walk along the streets and canals of his time with a Park Ranger. The tours begin at the National Park Visitor Center and are free. They are approximately half a mile and there is a limit of 30 people. Reservations preferred.
