COOL announces the 2011 Discover Lowell event series Celebrate the arts and culture of Lowell all year! This year's exciting events are: 4th Annual Lowell Film Festival "Lowell on the Churn: The American Civil War: 1861-Present" April 28-30 Delve into classical, contemporary, and historic films focusing on peace, conflict, and social change. The Unpanel: Expanding Your Creative Enterprise June 6 Stimulate and develop new ideas for your arts business by networking with other creatives and regional experts. Riverfest: Culture Flows June 11 Celebrate the unveiling of community murals made with artist Lineu Zadereski with live music, kids' activities, ethnic food, and more! Lowell Al Fresco June 24 Come out for summer Fridays downtown with sidewalk sales, outdoor dining, the farmers' market, local artists, and don't miss The Lowell Summer Music Series' Indigo Girls concert! Lowell Undiscovered Oct 6-9 Discover new artists during a showcase of emerging talent as we launch COOL's 40 Under 40 anthology and the annual Lowell Celebrates Kerouac Festival. Monster Bash and Halloween Stroll Oct 27 (in partnership with the Greater Lowell Kiwanis Club) Parade your favorite costume and turn out downtown to trick or treat at this safe, family-friendly Halloween event with ghoulish fun for all ages!
