Many hands make light work: We are seeking volunteers and site leaders to meet at and beautify your favorite Lowell park. Kids and groups are welcome! No special skills required. LP&CT members are invited to attend the 6:30 reception. John Wargo, professor of environmental policy at Yale, will discuss his new book Green Intelligence: Creating Environments That Protect Human Health. This event is co-hosted by LP&CT and the Toxics Use Reduction Institute at UMass Lowell (TURI). Green Intelligence: Creating Environments That Protect Human Health will be available for purchase. This is a featured event of the Concord Festival of Authors. Greenway Construction UpdateDistinct progress has been made along the Concord River Greenway in two locations, including paving and plantings along the path off Lawrence Street. These areas are now more accessible and safer than ever for outdoor enthusiasts who enjoy being active among Lowell's scenic beauty. | | | |
