Cultural Organization of Lowell and the City of Lowell present an Arts and Business Workshop
Lowell, MA. - The city of Lowell, Massachusetts and the Cultural Organization of Lowell are sponsoring a five part workshop for local Lowell artists who run their own businesses. The purpose of the workshops are to teach artists the skills they need to grow current creative businesses or to help launch a new business.
This 5-workshop series will focus on the business side of being creative. Learn the essentials in the following key arts and entrepreneurial topics:
October 28: Marketing Yourself and Your Work
November 4: Time Management for Artists
November 18: Pricing Your Work
December 2: Copyright / Intellectual Property
December 9: Tax Preparation
Classes will be held on Wednesday evenings from 6 - 9pm, October 28 - December 9, 2009 (no classes held on November 11 and November 25). The classes will take place at Loading Dock Gallery in Western Avenue Studios, 122 Western Avenue, Lowell, MA. This series is presented in partnership with Western Avenue Studios.
The cost to attend is $20 per workshop or a discounted rate of just $80 for the entire 5-class series. Space is limted to 15 people per class, so artists are encouraged to sign up as soon as possible. The registration deadline is Monday, October 19, 2009.
