Celebrate Independence Day in Lowell on Monday, July 5! Spend the day by the Merrimack River and hear live entertainment from 4 - 9pm from Hot Day at the Zoo, The Gentleman Songsters, Joe's Attic, and Sound by Tricia. Fireworks light up the skies immediately after the live music program!

As an art form, collage is all about thinking outside of the box. So be prepared to be intrigued, amazed, and maybe even puzzled by this juried show of small format collage works. The dictionary defines paste-up as a composition of "flat objects pasted to a sheet or other
backing." This exhibit is an excellent representation of that definition.

Fast Paced Festival Kick-Off, July 24

The daytime lineup of the Lowell Folk Festival is kicking off with a bang. Get there early and catch some rising stars in the music world in intimate venues. Throughout the weekend there will be eight moderated workshop demonstrations sprinkled throughout the performance schedule.

"Menopause The Musical," Aug. 3 and 4

It's time to kick-up those high heels. The international hit show Menopause The Musical® is returning to Lowell Memorial Auditorium. The cast laughs at their woeful hot flashes, forgetfulness, mood swings, wrinkles, night sweats and chocolate binges. The laughter-filled 90-minute production includes parodies from the classics of the '60s and '70s and '80s.

Lowell National Historical Park summer hours

Lowell National Historical Park canal boat tours move to daily operation rolling into the full summer season. Beginning June 27 - Aug. 23 the schedule expands tours to seven days a week. Reservations are required for all tours and can be made by calling 978-970-5000.

An Evening with Jethro Tull's Ian Anderson, Nov. 20, 8pm

Ian Anderson, known throughout the world of rock music as the flute and voice behind the legendary Jethro Tull, celebrated his 40th year as a recording and performing musician in 2008. Jethro Tull formed in 1968 and became one of the biggest progressive rock bands of the '70s.

    119 Gallery receives a 30% commission on all sales.

     

    Installation

    All artwork should be installation ready. 2D art to be suitably framed with wire, or prepared for hanging. Canvas edges should be clean and finished. 119 Gallery reserves the right to reject artwork that is not installation ready.
